Strengthened Capacities for Monitoring and Evaluation of Strategic Documents

On 29–30 July 2026, the Integrated Health Services Project, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health’s Department for Strategic Health Planning, organised a two-day training aimed at strengthening institutional capacities for monitoring, reporting and evaluating the implementation of health sector strategies.

The training brought together division heads and senior health management professionals nominated by the Ministry of Health and the Kosovo University Hospital and Clinical Service. Through practical exercises, interactive discussions and group work, participants strengthened their knowledge and skills across the full monitoring and evaluation cycle.

The programme covered the development of monitoring instruments, data collection and verification, data analysis and reporting, institutional governance, and coordination mechanisms. Participants also examined the key steps involved in planning and conducting evaluations, communicating findings, supporting evidence-based decision-making, and budgeting for monitoring and evaluation activities.

The training provided participants with practical tools and hands-on experience to support the more effective implementation, monitoring and evaluation of strategic priorities in Kosovo’s health sector.
